My Rufus

Rufus was the inspiration for "Cap" in the novella, Haunted Passions.

I'm very heartbroken to say that Rufus passed away in the beginning of November. Just about 6 weeks after the story was released. I miss this dog. He, like Cap, was a rescue. He had 'biting issues' and I just refused to let him be put down. We reached an amicable respect ("If you won't bite me, then I won't bite you!" I hope you don't think I am kidding.) and Rufus was the perfect dog for me after that and we had a three year relationship. He was very protective of his Mommy (pronounced 'Keeper of the Biscuits') and where I went, he followed. If I was working, he was on the floor next to me. If I went out, he was on a lead. He rode in the car. The passenger seat in my Toyota was 'Rufus' place' and if I carried a passenger and Rufus at the same time, I had to put the passenger in the car first.

Likewise, I could not get out of bed, or the rocker, without him jumping into it!

All those silly tricks Cap did? Here's the REAL culprit.
